Exhibition at Crownpoint studios

This exhibition shows the artist's most recent body of work “Departures” which consists of 5 new oil on canvas paintings. Painted over lockdown, the artist was drawn to the London Heathrow departures page, out of curiosity, to see whether flights were still going ahead at this time. These paintings are inspired by the icons placed next to each flight number to indicate the different companies for each flight.

These paintings, represented by the curve of the tail wing swopping down the canvas, hold the exciting feeling that we attached to them: of getting away to somewhere new.
